DEMAND FOR REFUND OF OUR MONEY BY GO IBIBO- HORRIBLE SERVICE

We had visited SRI LANKA from 23 March-01 April 2015 on bookings through GO IBIBO.Pvt.Ltd,Gurgaon, and they were so courteous till they received the payment on line and after which they had shown the real picture, purely commercial , their unfriendly attitude and Un fair trade practice was exhibited through out.
Their Counterparts, Apple Holiday (based in India with a branch in Sri lanka @ No 323,Galle road, Columbo-4, Tel +94 11 2586845/6 were the service providers , and I was informed this just a day before We departed from Hyderabad, NOT giving enough time to contact.

They tried to manipulate the mileage and Itinerary NOT as pre planned but changed to suit their needs through out6 and our protests were NOT fruitful.

These travel agents having hand in glove, did not bother about the convinience and comfort of the TOURISTS
On reaching the Columbo Intl. Airport we noticed that a small vehicle Nissan micro WP CAC 0294 having NO Leg space (We are senior citizen) was provided for a travel for 10 days.
On day 1, the driver cum guide Mr Gamage did Not bother to inform the mileage we are entitled for and did NOT even gave the meter readings to note.On day 1, we were to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and Dambulla cave temple which we were NOT shown as the driver has taken a shortest route to the destination.
As a result, we Missed Pinna wala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most important tourist destination.
In view of this we had to visit SIGIRIYA FORT and Dambulla cave temple on day3 which was hectic and tiresome.As a result we missed Cultural show at KANDY. as we had reached at late hours.
On day 5 we had to visit Ramboda temple and Seeta amman temple @ NUwara Eliya, which the driver wanted to avoid and only after much argument and on showing our copy of the Itinerary , he called his office to oblige.

We wanted to travel to Bentota beach from Nuwara Eliya as planned using a different route via ELLA to visit RAMAYANA related spots and prepared to pay for the excess mileage if any ,as the distance to the destination BENTOTA was almost the same but we were denied and Apple holiday people were demanding far excess money US$75, where as normal market rate is SLR 40/KM. We were forced to travel via KITUGULA.

THROUGH OUT THE TOUR WE WERE NOT PROVIIDED EVEN THE BOTTLED DRINKING WATER 2 PER PX , PER DAY PER PAX as per the written agreemet. As such we had to buy bottled water enroute at Exhobitant prices of SLR 160 (When MRP was just SLR 60). After a very strong PROTEST we were provided on day 8 in Negombo,(Our last station in the 10 day tour).

We were NOT allowed 80 km to travel while in Negombo, but we were curtly told that we can NOT make use of this as per our choice to visit Ramayana related temple (Muneeswaram temple- which was our agreement and which could have been covered on day 1 as this place comes enroute airport- sigiriya our destination on day1). The company and its driver were NON CO OPERATIVE AND AS A RESULT WE HAD TO HIRE A CAB AND PAID SLR 4720.

The driver GAMAGE told us that he was having problems with his company APPLE HOLIDAY as he was NOT provided accomodation in BENTOTA and Negombo. Upset, he expressed his anger on us and was NOT prepared to drive. He had shouted and abusive which has been recorded in the hotel lobby CC CAMERA FOOTAGE @ HOTEL J by Jetwing.The hotel officer NILANTHI WEJASOORIYA , Tel +94 770416 951 can vouch for this and she promised to provide the copy as required..The APPLE HOLIDAY EXECUTIVES DID NOT EVEN BOTHERED TO ANSWER OUR CALLS.

WE WERE NOT PROVIDED ANY TRANSPORT EVEN WITHIN NEGOMBO ON DAY 9 AS the driver bluntly refused to drive. The car did NOT MOVE even a meter on day 9.. The driver was so Rude and misbehaing that even our Umbrellas which were kept in the car, were NOT returned to us though it was raining and driver disappeared with the vehicle Even to go out for dinner @ indian Bollywood Restaurant in the town we had to hire a 3 wheeler WP QK 4778 AND PAID SLRUPEES 600 to the auto driver ANTONY(Mobile +94 717409909).

As such we demand Un conditional apology from these travel companies and refund ON Prorata basis for services NOT provided by them as per the agreement such as
INR 6000 FOR NOT showing PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE ON DAY 1
INR 6000 FOR NOT PROVIDING THE CAR IN NEGOMBO ON DAY 9
SLR 600(INR 300) for three wheeler we paid +Amount spent by us for buying bottled water from day 2 till day 8(7 days @ SLR 240×8=1920 INR 960

TOTAL INR 13260 Within a week failing which I shall proceed with REPORTING THIS IN ON LINE CONSUMER COMPLAINT /TRAVEL FORUMS and additionally seek COMPENSATION for MENTAL AGONY AND COSTS through CONSUMER COURTS for deficiency in service and UN FAIR TRADE PRACTICE AS per CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT 1986 for the costs and the consequences of which GOIBIBO and/or APPLE HOLIDAY (INDIA/SRILANKA) SEVERALLY AND JOINTLY RESPONSIBLE.
Delivery of the e mail shall be treated as SERVICE OF THE NOTICE.
