Ms Monica Das, a student of standard VI of Krishnapur Chanchal Kumari Balika Vidyalaya, PO: Krishnapur, Kolkata 700102 (033-25715156) – took transfer to get join her mother who is working in Navi Mumbai. She was admitted in a school here but the school, this being a interstate transfer – wanted some counter signature on the certificate. The certificate in original was sent back to the girl’s maternal uncle, who approached the school for the same. The school asked him to go to Education Department West Bengal at Bikash Bhavan, Salt Lake, Kolkata. When the Education Dept was approached – they told that only Zilla Parishad at Barasat will do this and original voter card and PAN card will be required. What is the actual rule for such interstate transfers? Can any body help to guide – what to do and whom to approach? Due to this running between pillar to post – the girl should not loose her academic year. Her mother do not have voter card but have Adhar card and PAN card.
