Very Bad Customer Services of SBI

I had applied on 27th May for a new ATM card for SBI as the old one was damaged and blocked by me. It is almost more than 2 months that I have not recd my new card till date. I had enquired about it in the bank and I was told my KYC documents not updated but I had already submitted the same in Aug 2011. Need I do it every year? Why did the bank authority did not inform me when I submitted the form for new card.
Is your bank staff so lazy that they could not check and inform me on the day I submitted my form? or is it just to make up their mistake it is pointed to me about KYC not updated.
If any updation is to be done is it not the bank’s duty to inform the customer about it.
